John Lennon attended Dovedale Primary School.

John Lennon achieved global and lasting fame as co-lead singer, co-songwriter and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles. After the group disbanded he produced records with his second wife, Yoko Ono.

John posthumously received a Grammy Award for Album of the Year (1981 for Double Fantasy) and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music (1982). He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was named the 38th greatest artist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
