Kim Cattrall

The Way With Words exhibition celebrates notable people with a connection to the local area who found success with a career in words.

Kim Cattrall was born in Mossley Hill. She was a supporter of the Save Sefton Park Meadows campaign.

Kim Cattrall is known to millions worldwide for playing Samantha Jones in Sex and the City. The role earned her five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations. She won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2002. Kim has starred in many hit films, including Police Academy (1984), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Mannequin (1987) and My Boy Jack (2007).

For theatre, Kim has appeared on Broadway (Wild Honey, 1986; Private Lives, 2011) and at the Old Vic (Sweet Bird of Youth, 2013) as well as the Liverpool Playhouse (Antony and Cleopatra, 2010). Most recently, she has starred in the TV drama Filthy Rich, for which she is also the executive producer.

Kim has an Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University and an honorary degree from the University of British Columbia.
